Fernwood Fitness Women's Health Week
This year Fernwood is partnering with Jean Hailes, Australia's leading and most trusted women's health organisation, for Women's Health Week. We are opening our clubs all around the nation as we host the national open week.
Fernwood Fitness Gungahlin have a jam-packed schedule planned for the week that will take you on a journey starting from dance classes, to HIIT traininng to skincare to healthy eating tips. Come along and try out EVERYTHING we have to offer.

WOMENS WEEK: September 4-8
Monday: 10.30am TRAIN SMART – Information session & workout
Training strategies that work. Learn how to get results through intelligent training. Make the most of the time you spend at the gym and schedule your workouts so that you are maximising your results.
Monday: 6.00pm METAFIT WORKOUT
High Intensity Interval Training class for all women. A quick 30 minute workout including a series of body-weight exercises, designed to keep your body burning calories long after your training session is complete.
Tuesday: 10.45am LES MILLS TASTER WORKOUT
Mix of BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance, BodyAttack and Sh’Bam. The perfect 60-minute class that will allow you to experience 5 workouts in 1. Team taught by Fernwood’s best instructors.
Tuesday: 6.00pm HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR SKIN – SKIN ANALYSIS & LOADS MORE
This information session is conducted by the lovely ladies from Gloww Beauty. The ladies will give you stacks of tips on how to best look after you skin based on your skin type. They will also give you stacks of information on skin health in general and answer all your questions.
Wednesday 10.30am FUEL YOUR BODY – Information session & demo
Food coaching and taste testing. This session will educate ladies on achieving and maintaining great results with a combination of nutrition coaching and physical activity. Plus you will sample delicious recipes from the Ferwnood Cookbook including snacks and fast easy meals for busy women.
Wednesday: 6.30pm GIRLS NINJA WARRIOR WORKOUT
If you love watching Australian Ninja Warrior then you will love this!! A fun mini workout for everyone using the jungle gym.
Thursday 10.45am LATIN DANCE PARTY
The most enjoyable way to get fit. Salsa, samba, mambo and merengue your way to a happier, healthier, fitter you. Taught by Michelle Dean, Rhythm Ballroom dance champion.
Thursday 7.30pm BROADWAY DANCE PARTY
Dance class inspired by movies and musicals like Grease, Hairspray, Flashdance, Footloose and Fame. Come as you are and leave as a star.
Friday: 10.30am HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR BODY – INJURY PREVENTION & MUCH MORE!
Presented by our in-house masseuse, Mel will share tips with you to keep you supple, moving well and injury free. Learn about stretches, releases and mobilisations for the whole body. A must for any lady looking to balance out their training with stretching, foam rolling and massage.

Women’s Health Week is the time to put ourselves first, for just one week, and start making positive changes that can last a lifetime.
