What is Pho?
When you think of Vietnamese food, what’s the first dish that springs to mind? Rice paper rolls, noodle salads, or spring rolls? How about a bowl of pho? One of Vietnam’s most loved dishes, pho can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. As their name suggests, Simply Pho specialise in this fragrant and flavoursome dish.
The secret to a great pho lies in the delicate flavouring of the broth - mixed together with noodles, meat and vegies, a bowl of pho should leave you feeling fresh, rejuvenated and satisfied. Simply Pho’s standard bowl of pho includes rare beef and meat balls, hearty and satisfying. Depending on how adventurous you want to be, there are a number of other variations you can try, such as Pho Xtreme, which contains rare beef, soft tendon and beef tripe. Or, you can try the Pho Combo – this includes rare beef, brisket, tripe, soft tendon and meat balls for the ultimate pho experience. If you prefer white meat, try the Chicken Phonatic – chicken breast, hearty liver, giblets and egg yolk in a wholesome broth.
With a bowl of pho, you can have as much or as little flavour as you like. If you love a bit of heat, ramp up the chilli or add hoi-sin for a distinctive flavour. If you prefer a milder taste, garnish with fresh bean sprouts, basil, chilli or lime.
Simply Pho also serve a variety of Vietnamese street foods, including spring rolls, rice paper rolls, vermicelli dishes, and mouth watering open flame grilled chicken or pork chops. And you can pair your meal with a tapioca pearl smoothie, available in coconut, mango, coffee, red tea, honeydew or taro flavours.
Whatever you choose, the fresh and simple menu will ensure you enjoy quality, health-conscious meals that deliver great taste and leave you feeling pho-tastic!
