Nail FAQs

How long does a standard manicure or pedicure last?
One to two weeks, depending on your lifestyle and the type of service you had. If you do a lot of work with your hands, your manicure won’t last long. Artificial nails such as acrylics will last much longer as they’re more durable.

What are the main benefits of artificial nails?
Your nails will not only look great, but if you have a nail-biting problem, artificial nails may help you kick the habit!

Will natural nails keep growing under acrylics?
Yes, as long as your nail technician uses good products and applies them correctly.

How often do artificial nails need to be maintained?
Every two weeks your nail technician will fill in the area near the cuticle between where your natural nail has grown and where the artificial nail is attached.

How are gel nails different from acrylic nails?
Both gel and acrylics can be used to extend the length of nails and make them stronger, but the main advantage of gel services is that they are odourless and transparent.

How long do artificial nails last?
Artificial nail applications should be maintained every two weeks. Regular fills are important because if the acrylic lifts away from the natural nail, moisture and bacteria can accumulate between them.

How long does it take nails to return to normal after removing acrylics?
If your nails were correctly filed to being with, and you’ve been regularly maintaining your artificial nails with visits to the salon, you natural nails should still be in good condition once the acrylic nail is removed. You can help strengthen your nails by applying a strengthener treatment if required.
