As one of the fastest-growing and most diverse areas in the ACT, Gungahlin has a unique energy that deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. Whether you’ve lived here for decades or just moved into the area, this is the day we come together as one big neighborhood to celebrate the place we love.

What’s on the Lineup?

The festival is designed to be a sensory feast for all ages. As you wander through the Town Square and surrounding precincts, you can expect:

The Main Stage: Non-stop live music and high-energy dance performances from our very own local groups.
Maker’s Market: A chance to support local small businesses, featuring everything from handmade crafts to community information stalls.
Hands-on Fun: Engaging artist activations and interactive workshops where kids (and the young at heart) can get creative.

Spotlight on “Youth Culture in Gungahlin”

Gungahlin holds a special title: we are home to the youngest population in the ACT. With more children and young people than any other region in Canberra, their voices and visions are the driving force of our community’s identity.

This year, we are thrilled to announce a major collaboration for our community exhibition. Belconnen Arts has partnered with the talented students and teachers from Gold Creek High School’s Arts & Design department to present a dedicated showcase: Youth Culture in Gungahlin.

What to Expect at the Exhibition: Currently in development, this exhibition will feature powerful photographic and graphic-based works created by local students. These pieces are more than just art—they are a celebration of community identity and place, captured through the lens of the next generation. From digital designs to striking photography, the work explores what it truly feels like to grow up, study, and play in the heart of Gungahlin.

Where to find it: The exhibition will be proudly displayed inside the Centre near Kmart. We invite you to take a stroll through the gallery and experience our town’s past, present, and future through the eyes of its youngest visionaries.
