Sharing the Spirit of Giving This Christmas at Marketplace Gungahlin

on 10 November 2025 in General News

TThis Christmas, Marketplace Gungahlin is proud to support two incredible charities that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families — the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) and Kids in Care.

The festive season is a time for giving, kindness, and community connection. By joining us in our Christmas initiatives, you’ll be helping spread joy and support to children who need it most.

🎅 Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation (SCHF)
The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation is dedicated to supporting sick kids and their families, funding vital hospital care, groundbreaking research, and innovative health programs across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. Their mission is to help all children live their healthiest lives possible — no matter where, no matter what.

This year, funds raised from our Santa Photos and Santa Breakfast will go directly to the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. By taking part, you’ll not only capture special Christmas memories but also help provide life-saving treatment, essential equipment, and compassionate support to children and families in need.

🎁 Kids in Care
Kids in Care supports children and young people living in out-of-home care, ensuring they feel valued, supported, and remembered — especially at Christmas time. Many of these children have faced challenging circumstances, and the generosity of our community helps bring them a little joy and excitement during the festive season.

You can get involved by:

  • Donating a gift to the Kids in Care Giving Tree, located near Big W.
  • Having your presents wrapped by the amazing Kids in Care volunteers at the Gift Wrapping Station, also located near Big W.

Every gift and donation helps brighten a child’s Christmas morning and reminds them they’re not alone.

This festive season, we invite our community to give back in whatever way they can — whether it’s through a small donation, a thoughtful gift, or simply spreading awareness. Together, we can make this Christmas brighter for children and families in need.
