on 28 April 2021 in Shopping

Inspired by the beauty, hues and textures of the Australian landscape during the winter months, Kmart’s latest Apparel Collection, ‘Into the Wild’ - spanning women’s, men’s and kids – is out now.

Kmart’s approach to Autumn/Winter 2021 involves setting the foundations for an elevated yet timeless wardrobe. Customers will find an extensive range of classic pieces with a an understated aesthetic and considered design details, that can be worn with ease, dressed up or down, and styled seamlessly with your existing favourites.

In womenswear, Kmart lovers can expect a classically ‘feminine’ range; water-inspired blues and moody greys are layered with a natural colour palette of ecru and dusty pink. Elevated fabrications made with touches of merino, recycled yarns, premium wool blends, heritage cable knits and boucle, deliver a range featuring sumptuous softness and affordable luxury.

For men, the neutral colour palette incorporates elements of khaki, chocolate and black, with highlights of dark burgundy while for kidswear, neutrals are offset with deep purple and burgundy accents, with nods to Australia’s flora and fauna throughout.

Reinforcing Kmart’s commitment to sustainability through their Better Together program, this season the retailer has releases a Puffa Jacket that is filled with 100% recycled polyester made from reclaimed materials. Alongside this season’s favourite, the team have introduced women’s knits containing LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres made using wood pulp sourced from responsibly managed forests and converted into fibres using less energy and water compared to conventional methods, organic cotton innerwear and a new sneaker range (women, men and kids) made with recycled materials.

Julie Miller Sensini, Kmart’s General Manager of Apparel and Design said, “As a large retailer, we know we have a responsibility to care for and respect our planet and all the lives that we touch. We take this responsibility very seriously and our ‘Better Together’ program focuses on working with our partners to make a difference across a wide range of initiatives, from ethical sourcing and human rights, to packaging and circular design.” Mrs Sensini added, “We are proud to continuously improve on this promise. This collection is a true testament to the work our in-house design and buying team have done in evolving our handwriting so our Kmart-loving community can shop great quality styles they can trust won’t hurt the planet and without compromising on price.“
