Enjoy zesty and delicious Mexican food: slow-cooked meats, tasty salsas and guacamole made fresh. The menu is bold, modern Mexican, with burritos, chikitos, tacos, don capos, nachos and quesadillas made with fresh ingredients and fresh ideas.

For every burrito or bowl purchased at Zambrero, a meal is donated through distribution partner Stop Hunger Now, which distributes food to those in the developing world. Dr Sam Prince opened the first Zambrero store in Canberra in 2005 with an investment of just $10,000. Since then, millions of meals have been provided to those living in poverty around the world through the Plate 4 Plate initiative. Plate 4 Plate is Zambrero’s way of providing food to those in need. Their mission is to empower a social movement dedicated to the provision of food to those in need, through customer engagement and corporate responsibility.

What’s the difference between a burrito and a chikito?
Both contain fresh juicy tomatoes, handmade guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and an assortment of slow cooked meats – difference? A burrito is slighter larger, wrapped in a 12 inch tortilla, while a chikito is in a 10 inch tortilla. So your choice just depends on how big your appetite is!

What puts the ‘power’ in a powerbowl?
In the Black Rice Powerbowl, the amount of meat is doubled (compared to a standard bowl) and the white rice replaced with nutrient-packed black rice and amaranth seeds, making it a high protein meal rich in nutrients and essential vitamins and minerals.

Did you know?
A spoonful of black rice contains even more antioxidants than a spoonful of blueberries. Zambrero’s powerbowl is packed with all sorts of nutrients to help you stay healthy and strong! And, with every bag of black rice bought at Zambrero, a meal is donated to someone in need in Australia, through Zambrero’s partners Forbidden Foods and Foodbanknsw/act.

One cup of chopped tomato can provide over half your recommended daily amount of vitamin A. Why not kick off your daily dose with Zambrero’s tomato salsa!
